A Mother's Honor
A Mother’s Honor 5-9-18
It’s nearly impossible to articulate
a mother’s great-ness
So as I attempt to elabo-rate this
I ask my heavenly Father to express His thoughts through me
Like water falls from you to me
Allow these words to fill you up so drink
These living waters for mothers sincerely
What is it about His creation that bares the heavy burden of creating?
Birthing nations and problem solvers this world has been maintaining
While lovers fall to the waste side a mother’s love is always sustaining
As she carries her children for 9 months without complaining she’s saintly
Do you know your worth? More precious than gold?
A Proverbs 31 women, with treasures untold
You’re honored by God, you’re strong and bold.
Gentle at times when need be, but a hungry lioness
you’re queenly
Mess with your children you’ll get in any ring see
you are the epitome of what honor means
You be that prayer warrior for your home when
Warfare is eminent
You are the words of wisdom when we need to know life's relevance
You’re very protection and support is heaven sent
And the time you have sacrificed for us, God won’t forget
For the times when you’ve stayed knowing you could have just quit
Thrown in the towel and walk right out of it
But you stayed, you always do
So these words from heaven are spoken to honor you
For the mothers, that have cried when you didn’t have enough
But you made do in the lean times no matter how rough
From cheesy bread in the oven when food was scarce
To sending us to grandma’s so we wouldn’t have cares
We were young and shielded without a care in this world
Like Sunday morning hot combs when us girls got our hair curled
You’re like a superhero pulling off the impossible
When others try to shut you down, you become unstoppable
I know it’s been hard at times,
you’ve been through many storms, with God have survived
Through bad relationships to feeling rejected
Not knowing what to do when you felt unprotected
But you made it anyhow
Pulled off inconceivable feets
Been depressed in a hole
But God said reach
Reach up and grab hold of what I’ve promised you
It may not be perfect right now but in faith I’ll see you through
Keep believing Christ is on the right hand of the throne interceding for you
Don’t give up the fight now, He has never left you
I don’t care what the doctors told you
There is still healing in His wings for you
Confess with your mouth the Word and believe it
Look to the hills and receive it
Stand on the promises of God and keep going mothers cause you’re needed
Your words bring this world life, so cry loud and seed it
Arise come out of the shadows of religion
It’s okay to walk in your purpose, you’ve been commissioned
Use your gifts for the time is now, no longer be afraid.
I pray these words blow fresh wind as we honor mothers on Mother’s day
